Connect a connector

Pick a database or file connector, enter connection details in the wizard, and test before saving.

Why it matters

A verified connection prevents failed refreshes and broken live tiles later.

How to use

  1. Open Data sources → Connect.
  2. Choose a connector card.
  3. Enter host and credentials as prompted.
  4. Run Test connection.
  5. Save when the test succeeds.

  1. Data sources → Connect your data → connector catalog.

Success check: The connector appears under Connected sources.

Common mistakes

  • Saving without a successful test.
  • Using a private host without the Connector Agent when required.
