Connector Agent (private networks)

Depends on IT

If your database is only reachable inside your company network, your IT team installs the Afialytics Connector Agent so cloud features can query through that bridge.

Why it matters

Private databases cannot be reached from the cloud without an approved bridge.

When to use

  • Test connection fails because the host is private or internal.
  • IT requires all warehouse traffic to stay inside your network.

How to use

  1. Ask IT to install and register the Connector Agent for your environment.
  2. Use the agent-backed option when connecting the database.
  3. Test connection again.
  4. Continue with Import and Access as usual.

Success check: Test connection succeeds and catalog refresh works.

Common mistakes

  • Retrying credentials when the real issue is network reachability.
