Data sources and connectors

Data sources has three phases: Connect your data, Configure workspace access, and Organization sharing (optional).

Why it matters

Clean connection and access setup is the foundation for models, Ask Oma, and dashboards.

When to use

  • You need a new database in this workspace.
  • Schema changed and you must refresh.
  • Your org shares a warehouse across workspaces.

How to use

  1. Connect a connector and test it.
  2. Import (catalog refresh) and Apply.
  3. Grant Access to the tables you need.
  4. Optional: link an organization warehouse.

Click path

  1. Left nav → Data sources.
  2. Phases at the top: Connect → Configure → Organization.

Success check: A source shows Connected; Import and Access look complete; a test query returns rows when available.

Common mistakes

  • Granting zero tables and wondering why Ask Oma sees nothing.
  • Skipping Apply after a catalog refresh.
