Restrict tabs and charts

For sensitive pages or tiles, limit which viewers are included. People with full manage access still see everything.

Why it matters

One dashboard can serve executives and operators with different detail levels.

When to use

  • A page has confidential metrics.
  • A single chart should stay limited.

How to use

  1. Open dashboard permissions for a tab or chart.
  2. Choose who among dashboard viewers is allowed.
  3. Save.
  4. Ensure at least one viewer remains when restricting—empty lists are blocked.

Click path

  1. Dashboard actions / tile or tab permissions → choose people → Save.

Success check: Allowed viewers see the content; others see an access-denied state for that part.

Common mistakes

  • Removing everyone from an allow list.
  • Forgetting to save after editing the list.
