Workspace setup

After invitation (or free-trial sign-in when offered), Workspace setup collects organization and workspace details. Completing it provisions the first workspace and starts a 7-day organization trial—no credit card required—then routes you to Data sources.

Why it matters

Setup attaches your account to the invited organization and turns on the evaluation period before you connect warehouses.

When to use

  • You see the Workspace setup steps after first sign-in.
  • You need another workspace later (org owners/admins).

How to use

  1. Welcome step → Continue.
  2. Enter organization name, industry, and company website.
  3. Name the workspace (defaults to “{Org} Analytics” if you leave the suggestion).
  4. Choose your cloud data platform.
  5. Finish setup and wait for provisioning.
  6. Continue into Data sources to connect.

Click path

  1. Invitation accepted → Sign in → Workspace setup wizard.
  2. After success → Data sources (Connect).

Success check: You land in Data sources with a workspace selected and trial underway.

Common mistakes

  • Expecting to mint a new organization without an invitation when access is invite-led.
  • Leaving Workspace setup unfinished and wondering why trial or home is empty.
